Africa Liberation Day is yet to come (DoD 25.05.2021)

Today is Africa Liberation Day. The good thing about this event is that the peoples of the African continent have emerged from the era of direct colonialism. In fact, this is a beautiful thing. Those who rejoice in the slavery of others, or simply tolerate it, are bound to find themselves in the same position.

Occupation, enslavement, colonization- especially when the victorious side behaves like a race of masters and treats the local population as subhumans -- is always abhorrent.  The liberation of the peoples of Africa is beautiful as a phenomenon. It is true that peoples should be the masters of their own destiny, of their own lives.

But we should not fall into wishful thinking.  The real liberation of Africa has not yet happened. Only the forms of colonization have changed, from direct to indirect, from political to cultural and economic, from biological racism to civilizational racism.

Africa is still not free.

It is still a colony of Western countries, which still compete with each other for influence over the black continent.

When the colonial regimes left Africa, they left behind the most terrible thing of all:

political societies artificially created and divided by arbitrary borders.

These borders are the legacy of the struggles of the colonial European powers among themselves. These borders have nothing to do with the real destiny of the peoples of Africa, with its civilizations and cultures, tribes and religions.

African nation-states are also nothing else but merely extensions of colonial administrations.

All that is  a simulacrum, not freedom. It is a new form of external colonial rule, not true sovereignty.

Moreover, external decolonization was accompanied by an even worse form of colonization -- colonization of consciousness.

African peoples were forced by Europeans to forget their cultures and their values, their traditions and their beliefs. Africa's traditional society was destroyed; instead, the consciousness of Africans was infected with Modernity, individualism, materialism, technocracy, purely quantitative sciences.

And this is the most serious challenge: Africa needs to liberate the consciousnesses of its peoples in order to find true freedom. Africa needs a profound decolonization – deep decolonization. The decolonization of the African Mind, of the African Logos.

In contemporary Africa, states, regimes, political systems, economic models, and societal identities are continuation of slavery. All this is deeply alien to the spirit, meaning and rhythm of Africa. Therefore all this must be radically changed.

As the young leader of modern pan-Africanism, the intrepid hero of the African continent, Kemi Seba, says:

Africa will either be united and sovereign, or it will not exist at all.

Africa must weed out identity of the white man's slave  - in politics, culture, economy, identity. Africa has its own destiny and its own paths in history.

Africa's liberation is yet to come. So today's celebration is a celebration of a future that has yet to come. Freedom has yet to be won by the peoples of Africa, in a desperate battle against globalization, liberalism and new forms of – hidden, implicit - colonization.

In this just cause Africa may be helped by Russia, which step by step restores its global role. After all, today Russia is fighting for a multipolar world against Western globalist hegemony. In this multipolar world, Africa is called upon to be a free and independent pole. Therefore, the freedom of the peoples of Africa from the dictatorship of the world's liberal elites is also our fight, our goal, our vocation.
